Solicitors shouldn't be involved dude. Tell her she's talking arse and tell them to get an engineer out to inspect it.

I think she's got her professions mixed up. She'll have engineers in court representing crims.

Justin..
10-02-2006, 18:32
i dont care i aint payin for it mate :D all legal costs covered by insurance

Andyvalver
10-02-2006, 18:47
**** They shouldnt write it off, could fix that for about £500 at the most.

2 things.

1: you should give a shite about legal costs as the total cost of the claim goes on record and is considered by future insurers in their quote to you, regardless of who fault lies with.

2: If it needs a new door it will cost a few quid. I had a new door and paintwork on the wing re-done and it cost the other party nearly a grand. The doors are expensive brand new from Renault.

Exactly. Last time I had a bump the rear was stoved in. Needed new rear bumper, tailgate trim, spare wheel cage, and the boot floor pulling out.

I cleaned it like it's never been cleaned before when I dropped it off, knowing it might assist the engineer in giving a yes/no.

If they can see the car is mint and well cared for it might sway a borderline decision.

That thing about the claim cost is why protected NCB is bollocks. You might keep your discount but the initial premium still goes up because you had an accident.
