well i started the day off by thinking i would give my engine bay a good clean up.....

so i went to halfrauds got the products and come home....then set to work

i thought it would be easier to take the bonnet off to work on the bay so set about doing this....and what happens..the bonnet slips...i now have chips on the corner of the bonnet..and 2 nice scuff marks on the bumper...looks like i am gonna have to get them sprayed then......

i then decided i would leave the bonnet on....so done the nuts back up..and decided to clean the engine bay...whilst by the manifold i was cleaning behind the guard and it come off.....it has worn away and passed over the bolt holding it on.....managed to bodge that back together....

cleaned around a bit but not much...anyways...went to shut the boot and it wouldn't properly, it was catching on the latch..fiddled around with bolts but its still doing it...it shuts but not as well as it did..

at the moment...i hate myself and my car....

:D Amen!

Freebone. You should mark an outline on the bonnet around the hinges. Before you remove it. Shoulda read the Haynes  :D

Having a mate there won't help. Loosent eh bolts on one side and get it sat right on that side first and then nip them up and do the other side. You can't tell how it's aligned when it's upright anyway so mates would be no use.

Have done with it and take it to a body shop. Ok, it will cost money, but not that much... Then she'll be nice and swankey once more!

straightened out the bonnet again...and all fits right again...

its just the corner of the bonnet and then the marks on the bumper that are annoying me now...although i have touched them up..

also i was planning on doing up the engine bay now but think this is a sign and may leave it...therefore i can spend the money at the bodyshop now...
