Hi peeps,

I have not got a williams but am plannin on gettin one in the next couple of months.what should i look for to know its a genuine 2litre williams, i know they have blue carpets, belts, stickers etc, but what should i look for in the engine bay to tell its genuine.

Im really set on getting one and want to know a bit about them really, i have drove a 1.8 16v, are the williams alot quicker, how reliable are they, are they expensive to fix f they break.

thnx alot

The dipstick will have a white dot on it if its a 2.0 and a black dot if its a 1.8 (williams jnr  ) 1.8 and 2.0 engines look identical to the un-trained eye

Make sure the gearbox feels sweet as it will cost you if it fooks up.

Williams has a different shape manifold to the 16v. Its tubular rather than a sort of square looking outlets. Look at some pics to see what i mean.

Perfomance wise theres not a great deal in it between the 16v and the williams but the williams is faster and pulls harder from low down at 2000rpm where a 16v pulls hard from 4000rpm.

Valver revs to 7k and a willy revs to 6.5k
