Speeding Info......help!!

Ok ill get straight to point. last year i went to trax, went on the 2nd as i was camping out so i was there first thing morning after.
Traveling down m1 south bound on the 2nd i was caught speeding at 101.4 mph at 21.20...was told id get a letter from court...
well recieved a letter and its:
caught speeding on the 3rd of september at 21:20 at 101.4 mph traveling southbound.
But on that date i was traveling northbound and didnt get caught speeding.
So theyve made a mistake but can i get away with it?
Im not guilty to speeding on that date and i was traveling north not south on that date....

In a word, yes. But tread carefully. I think you're better allowing it to go to court, denying the charge, and then mentioning that you were in fact travelling northbound (or whatever the sketch is) on that day at that time.

Were you really travelling the opposite way though at the same time?

Also make sure you get all the evidence/photos they have.

Better off speaking to a proper motoring lawyer tbh.

I think if u can prove where u were on the 3rd at that time then it aint ur fault they made a cock-up in the admin!

U definately need to get a copy of the proof they got... coz the pics/ video will prob have date n time on it...

Prob best to speak 2 sum1 who knows like swervin_mervin says... that way they can help ya get out of it probably!

I dont exactly have any evidence proving where i was on the 3rd but there video shud be on the 2nd shouldnt it?
Why would i be going to trax on the 3rd at 21:20???

Were you alone? It's up to them to prove you were there on the 3rd, not you.

Were you stopped by a copper?

yeah well if their video doesnt have the date on (which i'm sure it does) u shud b alrite... coz u can probably prove u were at trax n where u live so which way u wud av been goin....

no i had 2 mates with me...
I was on the cliosport stand at trax.....
didnt get stopped on the way back so they got wrong info really dont they??

if they dont have a video sayin the 2nd i think ur pretty covered.... coz u can almost prove u were goin home the ova way on teh 3rd...wiv ur 2 mates as witnesses... an bein on the stand at trax that day....

I shud think they can still get u for it coz the proof is that it happened on the 2nd... they will prob jus apologise bout the mistake on the letter!

As far as i know you can get away with that mate. Read on a speed camera site, it says to check the ticket for mistakes 8)
