crank seal

need help, my willy 3 has started leakin a small amount of oil from the bottom. there is no oil in middle of top of engine, its also clean oil.
Any way also it started makin a whiring noise at speeds. has any one else had this fault happen on a 3 with 72000 mile on clock. I took it to garage and they were very vague and said its crank seal, is this likely and if so is it a engine out kob like they say?

Check its not gearbox oil.

no ****in yellow boxes. only prob is there are some major humps in the road hit them over ton you bounce lol

You say its clean oil, engine oil after 1000 miles or so will go black, or start to, gearbox oil remains clean, also smells sweet, almosy like cat's piss

prob gear box mate.....i had a whining noise cuming from my box b4 it decided not 2 work

lets hope so, its gone to a garage today. hopefully hear tomorrow. cheers guys
