do they make cams for the willy? cant find any website with any reference to them?
yes they do mate....bit hard to find out about suppliers etc, in this country......dr schrick used to have a website.
im sure yozza was supplying these as well.....not 100% sure tho.,worth askin him.
he can supply them for 172's and 182's for defo, so id assume he could get some for willy's!
whats wrong with piper / AWT / catcams?
schrick are more known in german engines.

schrick are quite expensive too...i have a spec list of the schrick cams somewhere......lift and duration settings etc.

would get awt cams but have been waiting since october iirc and they still dont have the pulleys made for them yet??!!
Well i have been speaking to ben about some AWT cams and he said abt march ish he will defo have some puleys as well!
yeah he said to me they would be ready anytime soon back in october. :shock: still waiting. :cry:
trial set arrives this week for testing ;)
the problem has been keeping the nice aesthetics (which i love so really didnt want to ruin), whilst getting the clearance, AND most importantly keeping the strength. The bolts a much larger than others and higher tensile, but because they are big, they fouled.
When we designed them for clearance, they looked crap, just like plain old fat faced/dished design. So i've been back and forth getting the design right. I still have the original super heavy duty design pullies, and they have always been on theshelf, but require a different engine mount system....and its semi rigid, so i dont offer it casually.
tbh mate..aesthetics are fuk all.
1 they covered by a dirty great big alloy cover, which means u cant sdee em anyway
2 whos gunna be arsed that their pullies look good??
as long as they strong, and they fit, there shud be no other factors involved imo.
does this mean jesus isnt getting the gp a mount n pullies hes bin waiting a year for now?? or that hes gettin 1 of the new batch, in which case he cudda had pipers or catcams(which i must say look identical to the 1s iv seen of urs) fitted 12 months ago.
aesthetics are everything, especially when they are gold.
tbf i could have had the normal type pulleys that they or Ben do had I wanted, but when I originally got the work done he said I could have them coloured... so naturally I could only visualise them in Williams gold :lol:
not having pipers... cheap n nasty...
easily available, can be here tomoro......but not in gold.........they can always be painted tho :lol:

In your quest for speed your car should always be clean AND polished. My best mate works at a Porsche race team and there final bit of prep is to polish car,
Clean car + Lots of polish = Less drag.

Me and others who have been asking me for custom colour/polished options. Its a choice, and variety is the spice of life.

Nope, he's getting the mounts, i said i would, and i am. And if you care to have a look, mine are totally different than catcams own.

loving those gold pulleys ben. are those the standard colour or is that extra?
colour choice is a free option, any colour or finish you can think of, within reason.
Anodised colours, red, blue, gold, orange, green, purple, black. Polished finish, bead blasted finish. etc etc.
jus dont like to see ppl take the piss outta mates mate...12 months is well an truly takin the piss...and u know it.
its about time u got it sorted imo

im sure if the jesus was upset / fed up with the time it has taken with ben to get the bits required he would have asked for a refund, and gone elsewhere.
you have to expect wait times for specialist parts.

Jesus and I got cams around the same time, well me slightly after, mine has been timed and mapped for months, get it sorted Jesus we need to see the final product, by the time he gets his done my pulleys will have shattered :lol:
Although if you believe his tripe, sorry hype it will fly when done ;)
Get your finger out Jesus, no point going to the back of the queue you paid just like everyone else, you should be first in line as its been this long.

I did'nt actually realise jon had payed for work...and he's still waiting ages later...does'nt seem like he bothered though so it's not a problem.
what u all on about? i bought a resistor off ebay and now have 195bhp and 189lb torque only cost me £3.50 +vat :D
i clearly remember out running FM at angelsey with this :wink:
on here he doesnt seem bothered.....but speak to him in private its a diff story.

Are there many of you using the Catcam pulleys? If so, how do you rate them over other makes of pullies, reliability, ease of timing, etc?
they are fine, but the pairs that i have used in clios have fouled on the cambelt cover.
you know me guys, calm as a Hindu cow. don't really do pissed off, Ben knows the score and he's on it. I have no doubts that my car will be cam'd up fully and mapped with a month or two, then we'll be able to see what it's like. I'm quietly confident it will be quicker on the road than most other similar/same spec cars... it does alright on std limiter as it :lol:
Appreciate everyones concerns, but Bens 'extra' thing he's sorting out is a high boost turbo install yo! :lol:
