use ATF (automatic transmission fluid) its fully synthetic and gear changes are smoother, the retro renault boys swear by it and i run it myself

Currently using Millers, you wil need about 2.9 litres IIRC. Had Redline in before that and must admit Redline stuff was better.

Any old motorfactor will do it mate, about £6 per litre or something IIRC?

Last time I used that stuff was on my RS Cosworth

ATF doesn't pong half as bad as stards gear oil either, which is a bonus

yes mate i'm sure, and my gearbox took about 3.4 litres to be filled properly as its supposed to be filled until it starts coming out of the filler hole, better to get too much than not enough

Erm think it was more than that as it was 5 litres of Millers and not that much left. Using Redline took 4 Quart bottles with little spare so bank on buying 4 litres of whatever you use as it will be more than 3.

Hi !
It is preferable to use the OEM oil for gear box, it is the last of renault.
In France we all use this, after different oil tested, it is the best
But quite expensive: 40£ the 5litres

ELF TRJ 75W80
