Ok then wondering what power the hybrid will be running. want to get some sort of expectations before the rolling road this month.
Mods:
Williams Engine
Valver Box
ITG Panel Filter
Removed fogs for cold air flow
Supersprint 4-2-1
Decat
Janspeed Cat Back
Gunner Chip
Before the chip it out run standard williams, valvers, 172s, 182s, 106 gtis, saxo VTS, and the rest of the usual scum lol.
Anyone any ideas? thinking of awt cams at the end of the month!

Id guess at 160+ bhp.

But seing each set of rollers is different then it aint really a good comparison.

I know a guy who got his 1.4 Maxim RR'd and he got 88bhp outa it.

Only mods were decat and IK.

Thats a 13bhp increase from a 1.4! Not likely IMO

Will be good to see what you guys get when you go to Nick Hill's!
Would like a look at the setup he has myself but cant be arsed with the drive down! (It often feels like scotland is on a different continent to england!)

150bhp is std.

Problem gunner chip isn't set up for your car liek a proper re-map, so the power gain will be negligable. 160bhp tops

well not for my car exactly but for those kinds of mods which i have. so 10bhp from all of that modification isnt alot really id expect alot more!
i know these are only claims and are unlikely but:
Supersprint claims to add 7bhp
chip claims to add 13bhp

yes but is your engine rebuilt to 0 miles?

If not you will loose some sorta power through that, as i said prolly 10 bhp tops, maybe 15 if you are lucky

a rebuilt engine can be slowwer than a well run in engine. to get 10 bhp out of an RSI you would have to turbo it lol.

That gives you 17bhp when running carbs

lol!
but with the claims for the supersprint and chip thats 20bhp then about 100 for exhaust lol and 50 for panel filter lol.
Id say around 170bhp with it being as quick as it is, sees of 300zxs, williams, valvers, pug gtis, all sorts really, 172s 182s, bla bla, gave a 270bhp meggy 225 a very good run, pushed him all the way to 110mph before the chip

the 1.4 engines are rated at 80bhp aint they? or did they drop power in the maxims? my old rt was rated 80 neway! .........

Never go on claimed figures as you just can't add them all together and expect that.

Think you are lucky to get 5bhp from an off the shelf chip.

My valver was RR'd at 147bhp with Magnex inc Decat, BB chip and BMC CDA with new oil, filter, spark plugs and magnecor leads. So 10 bhp over standard 137 bhp if in fact it was running 137 in the first place. So larger increase if it was down on power before. Have fitted a supersprint manifold since so by your rules thats another 7 so should be 154 bhp which I doubt. Think I would be lucky to be at 150.

Yours could be 150 standard but whether it still is is another matter. So conservatively would suggest 165bhp tops for mods indicated depending on heath of engine. Things like rotor and dizzy cap can lose you power if worn.

yeh i kno but with claimed figures id prob be near 200bhp territory lol. i keep gettin people sayin it wil be almost 200bhp na and i just laugh at em. i do expect between 160-170 though on the rollers! it certainly is a nippy little machine ;)

147 calculated at the fly.

So better than standard but I don't really go by a RR figure as could have possibly gone day after or day before and get a different reading.

Good to base performance mods only if using same RR to try and keep some consistency. Only got mine done as chip was fitted at same time as decat and cambelt and water pump.
