I used to have all the time in the world but these days I don't have any! I'm looking for one of those electric polishers to do the car with when it comes back..

It's brand new paint so i'd like to keep it perfect from the off to be honest, getting a polisher will help time wise and still maintain the car...

Any suggestions?

the only good one really is the 'PC'

most others are not random orbit and will put swirls in your new paint

Any random orbital sander, with hook and loop fastening system, do the same thign as one of these polishers and can get them for about £20 or so, get the foam polishing head, and sheepskin one for buffing, thats what i use when i do bodywork

Meguiars an the identical item from Motor World are random orbit and are great for applying and buffing off polish but aren't any good for getting rid of swirl marks. So if brand new paint one of those should be fine.

The one identical to Meguiars is by a brand called cosmo. For £30 you save £70 over the meguiars version and all you get less is a meguiars pad (£15 IRO) and miss and extra battery.

Simoniz also do a version of this in blue with the extra battery but only seen on ebay in the states.

And looking at Motorworld website looks like they don't do the Cosmo anymore. But if you find one its great for £30..

Soz Brun but it is. Made by same people.

Check teh Cosmo one and the Meguiars one. Same spec, same moulding, just made for different people with an extra battery if required and different colour.

Cosmo is Yellow.
Meguiars is Black.
Simoniz is Blue.

A Cosmo one on ebay if anyone is after one:

Meguiars one also on ebay.

Forgot to mention you get a bag with the Meguiars one. So if RRP is approx £70 more that is what you are paying for extra battery, bag and £15 foam meguiars attachment.
