The engine is an AGU golf engine with an uprated K04 audi TT turbo and injectors. With an emerald ECU it should push 240-260 at the fly. I have also fitted the car with a manual rack and Wide track so should be fun on the track/road.

I’ve now fitted the engine into the bay just need to.

Plum in the intercooler (given to me by Matt J3ned) thank you
Plum in the rad and coolant stuff
Fit uprated fuel pump
Fit gear mech. (cable operated)
Convert clutch to cable and connect
Then make wireing loom plug in and play… lol just like that.
There’s loads to do so ill keep adding to this as I go along.

Thanks to all who have helped so far….

Flan

More pics for you all.... Took the grinder to the front today.... made that Evo intercooler fit.....

nice motor mate shud be awsome when its done. should really warn u tho. i used to work at seat on cupra's and cupra r's. lots of people used to chip up the cupra r's from running 225bhp to running somewhere in the region of 270bhp. in the space of just over a year we replaced 5 engines on cupra r's, mostly on cars that had been chipped. they all had the same fault, con rods either snapping or bending. it's probably worth considering uprating them if u want utilise this sort of power safely.

08-02-2006, 23:10
I heard the only good thing about this car was the doors, brake lines and bonnet.

440's ( green giants ) i can get them for £47 each instead of the £75 - £100 each a lot of places want !!!. Make sure you have taken the fuel regulator off the bottom of your fuel pump after fitting the walbro evo 8 one.

j3ned

is it a standard engine?

More or less - its running a K04 Turbo of an S3 / TT with an EVO intercooler - they are very tuneable these engines

Flan
06-04-2006, 13:21
Just thought id let you all no ,

I have fitted a

1.8 20v AGU engine
K04 turbo and manifold
S3 injectors,
Evo VII FMIC
Custom pipework
HKS ssqv
3” Turbo Back exhaust
ITG Foam Filter
Emerald M3d Programmable ECU

Finaly got it all plummed in and firing on the base map ready for the rolling road set-up, Rang Emerald but they were fully booked till the end of may, ;( Anyway I got a call on Monday saying “ a bit short notice but would you like to come down tomorrow coz we’ve had a cancellation” This was at 2 and I still had a few things to sort out. Rushed home. Sorted it all out and went to Emerald in the morning, Spent most of the day on the rollers with a few f*ck ups.

First the EGT valve fell out the back of the turbo… (my fault) so we fixed that, then the throttle cable which was a tad to close to the turbo melted the inner sleave so we had to fix that, and thirdly towards the end of the day the N75 Valve broke, luckily dave had a spare. Here is the final result

http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a282/FlansS14/File0006.jpg

And that’s only running at 10psi. Just wanna say a big thanks to everyone for there help and Dave at emerald for putting up with it all day and helping us fix the problems. Most would have sent us off the rollers to fix the problem.

See ya soon

Flan

lol This is when the turbo bost valve ****ed up and gave the engine more air than fuel hence the bang, though i had blown it, before it did this it was getting 270 atw.... whic hsholdn't happen, but we sorted that
