Bloody Phase 2!

Eventually got round to fitting my phase 2 bumpstrips as the phase 1's are gash..and one of mine had a nasty dent in it.

Off with the old strips (easy peasy...dint even break many clips!)

On with the new phase 2 ones.......ermmm.....NO!

I didnt realise that the clips on the door of the phase 1 clios dont fit into the phase 2 bumpstrips at all! They are loose as hell and just dont stay!

Why did renault have to go and change the design for clipping them on?

IMO the phase 1 strips are horrible, with the phase 2's much more asthetically pleasing....however the phase 1 stuff is much better made. Kinda metal structure with the plastic over the top, with decent clips....phase 2's are just cheapy plastic with crappy clips!

hehe i had the same dilema, plus when i got to renault they wanted something rediculous like 50p a clip, and they only had 20 in stock :shock: :cry:

how many clips do you need for the whole car? also do the phase 2 valvers/williams's still have the same strips round the bumpers as the phase 1?

i think the phase ones had a greyish colour insert on the bumpers whereas the phase 2's are just black

for ph2 both sides about 20 can do it with less little less secure though

Raided the dundee scrappies 2day!

Got all the clips i needed, so strips are on.

The slag has lost its last remaining bit of dignity now!

MAZ **** has now got a new owner! :shock:

The slags now sitting on a nice J plate! :wink:

Added a few coppers to the "engine build fund" so its all good!
