Sorry - didn't know it was a Williams

The chase car is a Golf 2 16v - with no interior, coilovers, uprated ARB and a lot of enthusiasm - lol. Didn't do to badly considering - oh and it isn't me, just found the link

Find it suprising teh pace of the golf, there were two of them caged up etc at Donnignton and they were both shit slow, even my RSi was passign them without too much trouble when the cunts would move

Hey hey I'm famous.

The cars not off the road it just needed fixing hence was in a garage.
I remember that Golf I wanted to try and find the owner very well driven was interesting to see how much later the Clio could get on the brakes. I remmber we were dead even almost for laps hence why I pulled over.

Do you know where the link was posted? Just interested to see if there were any more footage of me I've yet to see any photoss etc.
Its a Williams yep but the whels it has are the wrong offset which makes a huge difference but I like the proper ones to stay nice and clean and the tyres were usless toyo's managed to wear them fully down at the front from brand new.

Lunner there was another GTi I think there which was very slow its down the the driver.

That black Porche was stunning I'm going to have to get a camera sorted for track days I kept with it and i recon on an empty track I could have juist beaten it . However just as we were both overtaking someone I
missed the turn in and spun off. Was great fun seeing its back look like it was tumping round on the bends I recom the Williams could have gone slightly quick but the Porche drive either had guts or was a good driver/nw the car.

From the website on the beginning of the video it looks like its got 184hp and a few modifications.
Still I didn't get the rpm to high I hit the limiter maybe twice on tarck most of the time i chnaged up at 6.6k or so sometimes just 6k.
I don't like the 7.2k red line the car has. Renault say the engiens good for 6.6k (well thats what they sold them with) so thats what I'd prefere to stay around.

I've just told Gary that you were interested in his car. The evo boys commented on how good both your driving and Gary's looked btw.

Apparently his golf is a bit of a clio/205 eater as most think it's going to be slow.

Its times like this Idon't think I should sell it its superb on track.
Being as that Golf was as quick as the Clio I'd love to see some footage of it near one of those caterhams round that double right hander as they slowed down massivly for it wheras the Cio (and Golf) could plow right round and overtake them on the bend comming out which must have been interesting if you own some R400 Evo.

You selling up then? Does it feel much different with the cage in?

Hi, I'm the Golf driver, thanks to swervin_mervin for the heads up.

That was literally my first ever session at Oulton and I was meant to be bedding in new pads, well until the Clio passed me anyway.

Edde, have you done days there before ?

BTW guys, engine is not that heavily modified, it's got a 2 litre block from an old fire damaged Corrado, flowed head with an inlet cam that's been made by cutting the end off an exhaust cam   Still runs the antiquated K-Jet mechanical fuel injection, stock cast manifold and downpipe.

As said above, people usually think that the Golfs are slow, which makes it interesting.

Edde, there's some pics on http://www.trackphoto.co.uk

Nice vid 8)

I watched one of your vids before GVK. One of your Donington ones, where you're following your mate in a Sierra (I think? An XR4i?), or he's following you, can't remember. Looked good anyway!

Must get myself to Oulton, looks like an awesome track. Anyone else fancy going? :)

Zollo, that's a name I've seen before, prolly from the vid at Cadwell that did the rounds with the 106 filming?

Was last year at Donington, we spent all day dodging around those old XR4x4 Sierras.

Yup, that was me driving erratically around Cadwell!

i'm always up for Oulton its a great track not quite as safe as Donny but more interesitng (barriers are closer)

GVK- I came off the track a bit more than the picture suggests that was when I was trying to get back on. I canot find it on trackphoto though.

Martin -ossibly yes I'd always be reasdy to sell for say a bit over £3k but i don't know when I'll actually sell it thinking a new RS next year possibly. The cage isn't properly installed only the bits behind the seats have been welded in and the bolts havn't been tightened fully so a few of them came out and hit me when I was driving wich was scary. Its bloomin annoying to try and get in the car with the cage though.
I've done wto days there I think maybe three. One in the WIlliams on a Renault sport day and the other one or two in my diesel.
