View Full Version : Sheared Locking Wheel Bolt - What can i do?
Tried taking the front wheel off this morning to do the brakes and the cheap locking wheel bolt that came with this car decided to give up and one of the studs inside the socket has snapped.
At the moment i'm trying to JB weld the remover socket to the locking wheel bolt to see if it will come off once they are joined but it probably won't.
Whats the easiest way to rectify this problem?
Thanks
i snaped the head of 1 of my lockin wheel nuts, had 2 take it 2 be drilled out....£50!

Take disc off to give yourself a bit more to play with and either cut a groove accross teh top, or if its stuck in, weld a bar accross the top

NO SORRY NOTHIN U CAN DO!!!
ull have to buy a new car
LTR can sort it
He is Swindon way, south of me, its a LONG way to LTR lol
got it sorted by a local tyre place in the end for the price of: a can of red fanta :D
There are two of the bastards left on the back wheels so i expect i'll have to pay a fiver or something next time.
£50 seems well excessive iLL_MoVeS.
