5 turbo box onto F7R?

Ive got a mate selling a gearbox from a 5 GTT Cup car. He says it will fit the Williams engine fine, just have different ratios - will it? and what would be the effect of the ratios? (im assuming lower top end, faster acceleration)

Also, is it wise buying a box that has come from a car used only on the track?

they won't work with your dials, the gtt gearbox has an electrical output rather than the gear driven 16v/willy

i dont need one so to speak, ive got a perfectly reasonable one in the valver, but ive just committed to buy a rebuilt williams engine at the end of feb, and didnt want to whack my current box onto a brand new engine, so im after a very low mileage/mint box, but wont need one properly until March time..
