my clutch cable broke again today after only 3 months of it being fixed :shock:
looks like ill be cycling to work next week :(
ordered a new cable was £13 so i am gunna av a bash myself :D

If you are snapping cables that quickly, you need the clutch changing.

:o thats not what i need to hear. ah well may aswell do the soft clutch conversion aswell #-o
shiiiit dude, deffo got some hidden problems there if it has snapped!
where did it happen this time?
are these Renault cables that are snapping, or cheap ones ?

it was a genuine one that snapped. was fitted at national autocentres and they said they only fit genuine parts
they would say that :wink:

lol last time i had to wait cos i had a new pedal put in aswell, which i thought was meant to stop breakages :roll: obviuosly not

Mine kept snappin till i sorted the clutch last year. This one has been ok so far touch wood. Dont ya love it when they are on there way out lol, you feel a few strands of it break lol and then on the next gear change it snaps :lol:

volvo parts, like the arm and stuff. i think its a tpoic on here somewhere with all parts and part numbers listed

Next time you change the clutch cable fella change the whole pedal for the revised soft pedal one that was mentioned above!
2live and I did mine last year or the one before, was a bugger of a job but worth it!

If you order a new pedal from Renault, do you automatically get a soft pedal or are there two different pedals available?

yeah thats the one, i think they have moved it on retro renault due to people stealing their stuf??? dunno any ways looks like im gunna pay up lol

was it just the pedal or the whole lot inlcuding gearbox arm?

Only got it from tehre cus it was a sunday and they were the only place open lol
