View Full Version : Will any other anternator fit a williams?
Mines completley knackered and i was wondering if i could use an alternator off any other renault on my williams?

you could try a maggy one off a 2.0 mate that should work

the megane one is different... i have one in my hand
you can use a valver one no probs..
there a slag to fit.. due to the monkey metal used in the tensoiner bolt teeth

thanks for the help, any idea where i can buy a decent one from that will fit? i've just looked and one for the meggy/laguna is £92.50 from GSF on an exchange basis.

the megane 2.0l i have is different fittings.
Megane/laguna will fit - my old 16v had one;
works good too, 14.4v to the battery :D

If you can be arsed making brackets you can fit any you want. I'm gonna put a Honda V6 one on mine if it breaks again as it puts out more amps but is about 2" less diameter so should be easier to change
