okay heres the car as it stands now, engine is done and new speedo cable is in, cheers matt brown, ur a legend for spares matey!!! :D

all there is to do now is put in the front seats while its still up in the air and then slap on the front wheels n drop it! then its out of the garage for cooling system flush/backflush and fluids in before ignition!!!

this time tomorrow i'll know if it was all worth while!!!

hold onto your hats people, sparks cud fly if it goes belly up!! :evil:

Good luck mate and don't do what I did.

I turned the engine over with the ht lead off until the oil light went off, noticed a small fuel leak, fixed that and tried to start it without the ht lead on and I was panicking when it wouldn't start!

ive just spoken to him..... bad news im afraid.. it appears the cam belt was set wrong.. all 16valves are bent.:-(

































of course im joking..come on coopster lad, im awaiting the finale!

coops! the cam cover and the front cover(im shit with cars) have they both been sprayed??? if so then what have you used?? wanna put some colour into my engine bay!

lol this is a true comment.. all was running well but the radiator bleed valve due to its age has broken, the heads come off. so he's delayed till monday as his bird is over!

As for the gf....... she should be running him round tomorrow to get a new bleed screw :P

stupid me :oops: just re-read gunners post and realised the head of the screw came off. oh well only a little problem :D
