Clutch problems

Replaced the snapped clutch cable on the willy and now the clutch bites somewhere in the carpet. The ratchet device will not take up any more of the cable even though it is not maxed out. I have checked the teeth on the ratchet and they seem to be okay. :?

Has anyone else had this problem?

time to buy a new clutch?

Let the cable wear in, when i had my new clutch and clutch cable the biting point was basically on the floor, kept stalling it lol. Got better after a while.

Have you got it routed through the top of the mechanism properly, there is a ring bit that you have to feed it up and under, so it runs through the mechanism, and then you have to pump the pedal loads of times (dependant on car) to get it to tension properly.
