oil temp sensor on f7p/r

where is it on the engine as the 1 on my 2.0l is'nt working and is on my 1.8 so want to change them. anyone know??

its on the front of the engine, near the oil filter but to the right and down abit, it should have 1 plug with 3 wires on it

changed mine when did engine, combines with level sensor!! 2 in 1 job!! bolts into the sump just next to bottom of the tube that houses the dipstick!

Need to do mine as well, should have done it when I did the engine conversion as the one on the 16v engine was working fine.

Am I likely to lose a load of oil when I change it?

no as its at the top so you shouldnt lose much at all
