Hi guys, big fan of the williams! 8)
im a renault 5 gt turbo owner. im in the process of doing a 16v convertion :D
i luv my 5 and it is currently running 172 bhp at 16psi, lots of fun! but i want to try something a little different and more economicle fuel wise!
any way im after a 1.8 or 2.0 16v engine ecu and loom if anyone has one give me a shout!? rikki@printandsign.com

heres my 5 as it is :)

Beautiful, I love white 5 turbos.

Personally i'd go for a 2.0 for the extra pwer and low down torque. If a jobs worth doing its worth doing properly.

1.8 would be cheaper and easier to source though.

go one better, just TB an F7R and throw that in complete with charger... afterall, once you put TB's on there's a shed load of room... actually, it's in an R5... forget the charger bit...

I know it has, its been done lots.

But intrest in it seemed to die out over the last 2 years, now theres about 15 - 20 I have seen in the last fecking month!

No point in doing it now as everyone is doing it.

Top work :) ...is it that easy to turbo the valver lump? Also if you want turbo power surely the r5 lump is easier to tune and has more potential?? :?

cheers, yes with the right ecu and welding equipment (exh) it is! running low 5psi should see near 200hp and a very usable/light(r5) car :)
yes the 5 engine is good, but running over 200hp everyday may bring reliability into question in my opinion, not to mention fuel cost! :) i also like the idea of first time starting on efi :D
