Just fitted my willy wide track plus its got a 35mm drop, when going round islands to the right i get a slight vibration from the NSF wheel. anyone else get this ? is it the wheel rubbing on the arch or liner ?

Its all tracked up right and everything is done up tight, it only does it in that instance its perfect the rest of the time. :?: :?: :?: stumped

Someone else had this problem, turned out to be scrubbing. Can't see why though as williams that have been lowered 30mm don't do it.

Wheel bearing?

Buggered CV joint?

Did you use new or 2nd hand parts?

Bearings are all hunky dorey, CV joints appear to be good, don't have any split gaitors. Used all new parts bar the shafts but they were in very good condition.

Any idea what it was scrubbing on ? arch or liner ?

I read a tech note a while back about needing to cut out a small section of the arch liner IIRC due to the wider track... :-k

I think it was the arch.

I really hope thats the case, just spent over £500 and 4 days messing with the thing and this is the thanks i get, might just rip the liners out.

Any chance of confirming that bri ?

normal 16V shafts with an extra 30mm track to cover, won't last long.

Thats why i used willy shafts mate

Its deffo rubbing that causing it, its chewing my arch away, going to try and get some higher poundage springs with a lesser drop.

cheers for all your help lads

subframes probably out a wee bit.

It only chews them when i'm going fast and right, like round an island, the weight loads up on the front left and the tyre catches the arch. I reused the old 16v lowering springs which tbh were a bit knackered and rusty anyway so i'll try some newer ones, maybe the avo's.

As for subframe, surely that would throw my camber out ? i know its had the front left wheel hit the curb hard before as the front left camber was way out before i changed all my stuff, but it now seems all ok. Maybe its time for a williams double skinned subframe anyway 8)

They are ET 37 so shouldn't be a prob in that respect
