Hi

I want to know how I can get all my gears!

I seem to be able to get 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and not reverse! or 1, 2, 3, 4, reverse but not 5th. I know the gear box is fine as its my old one.

What do I need to do to the linkage?

Thanks

best way iv found....slacken the nut on the linkage, and manually select 5th, or reverse from underneath the car, and get the mrs or sum1 to hold the gearstick in whichever gear, watch ur fingers lol.........then tighten the linkage back up

shud b somewhere near then will jus need fine tuning

depends where uv disconnected the linkage tbh..... if uv done it at the knuckle...the 1 shielded by the rubber boot....u wont get this prob. but if uv disconnected it at the bar....then yeah...u probs will

sounds like you haven't put the spacer back in the linkage assembly. As this would limit the sideways movement of the linkage when selecting the furthest gears away from centre...i.e. 5th or Reverse.

Check inside the linkage boot and make sure its there.

Only thing I can think off mate.

Had a gd look at the gear linkage today and we have noticed thats the linkage is hitting the bottom of the gearbox before its able to select reverse. We found if you put a jacked up the linkage abit you can select reverse! WHY!

Any solutions?
