Hi

Recently I got a new engine fitted to my car. In the process of the old engine coming out we split the power steering pipe on the rack. We replaced the bent pipe with a new pipe and then put the engine back in to find that the pipe leaked badly from the top of the union. We have cut the pipe and put a rubber hose on over the union which does hold the fluid in until you turn the steering wheel left! When you turn left the pipe expands like a big ballon and will pop if held on for to long.

Help needed asap plz cos I want my car back!

Thanks

The one that goes on the top of the steering rack (behind the downpipe) which later connects back onto the rack (about 8 inchs long) and is metal.

Doubt it,. they aren't designed to take those sorta pressures, clean it off and put some miliput or quicksteel around it as a temp fix

Well the kit i have only does pretty small pressures.......atleast when i remove my engine i'll remove the gear lingage in the right place

When you fit the new rack just drop the subframe down, and fit it with the subframe off the car
