this light is flickering on and off now and again on my dash, apparently its the brake pad wear light, take it this is just the fronts that this is for?? oh and this only started happening after my little "grounding" incident at work the other day, maybe ive broken a sensor or something? it had new discs and pads on it just over a year ago. any ideas??

mine dont work at all :(

just wait for the grinding noise or smash into a roundabout, means my brakes r screwed :D

jack it up and take a look at the sensors - mine were pretty loose when i changed my pads, so maybe yours have come loose and are making contact??

Is it the light that goes on for handbrake n all?if it is could be low brake fluid level, if you ground the car you may of damaged a pipe/line, check under the car for leaks on ur drive after leaving it overnight!or pop open the resevoir n check fluid level is touching the sensor!

come with new pads n fit into little hole on the pads themselves, u can track the little pink wires that come from the calipers, thats em!! they wear down non conductive material till the pads wear out n all at same rate. then when pads are well worn down they may contact with disc, completes circuit n on comes ur dash light!!

I don't worry with pad sensors, just regularly check them, can do it witht eh wheels on so its a 2 min job

chop the wires off if they are corroded. 99% are like that anyway, if not chopped then fallen off.
