I have a full magnex with unsilenced decat and its mean as fook, pop's and spits flames between gear changes at time, scares the shit out of pedestrians :twisted:
But not too loud, I do mainly motorway miles and its fine, burbles nicely

I can produce a silenced one, will need to check measurements against cat, but shouldn't be much bigger, 115 x 185mm oval, and then 320mm long for the silencer section, and then extended out length ways with pipe so you have room to get the bolts in.

Just priced it up and its comming out at £65 + delivery....so not cheap

Would be aluminised steel rather than stainless, stainless steel is a tenner more for the box, and pipe is more expensive and i ahve to get it welded else where and pay more cus my mate can't weld stainless (me makes iron gates), so only has kit for welding steel

Silenced should be the same as non-silenced. THe silencing should be around the outside of the pipe non?

dont get a BB tuning decat whatever you do... they blow... literally!

i'm off to powerflow tomorrow to have mine made... and I dont think it's the decat the really makes the car louder... a decat is a decat, you get silenced and unsilenced, but i reckon its the zorst that makes the difference. my car is louder with the cat on too, very boomy.

The way ti works is the same a straight through silnecer, you have a perforated tube passing through the middle, and around the outside you ahve a fibre galss type stuff, the idea is the perforations slow the air down, creating less noise and some of the noise gets absorbed by teh glass.....as i understand it.

Jesus.......de-cat defo makes my car alot louder, after havoing a cat on for 3 months i was shocked at teh difference it make to top end of the rev rage and to noise
