whats the best way to get rid of all the snide rusty deposits inside my header tank? i want it sparkly!!!

tried decarb n degreaser n hot water n fairy liquid n god knows what n nowts shiftin it! managed to scrape some of it off with tooth brush but surely theres an easier way?!

Buy a new one :P


Could put some gravel in it and shake it, that'll remove a lot of the shit from the sides.

old SAS trick # 213

to clean a headertank place denture tablets in and fill with boiling water. Utilise a small brush once denture tablets have worked their wonder.

dont waste your time or money on the cleaning gear... buy a new one, they are £26 iirc. cleaned will never be as good as a brand new one.

its all good, blagged a big **** off pipe cleaner from work, shud do the trick!! i aint spent nowt on cleanin gear, had it all already, only doin this as an afterthought really while am killin time waitin for me head back!! i aint blowin 26 quid on an afterthought!!! :D
