For me it would probably be the cossie. Old cars are better than the new shite on the road. It looks great it has a great engine. Only downside is that its an escort lol, i dont generally like fords.

either the evo 6 or the cossie

the cossie is very unique and always gets people looking, while the evo 6 can be on pretty decent power with hardly any effort!

my mate has one runnin just short of 400bhp and i've never been in anything so fast!!! :D

Would have to be the Beemer for me, as i dont like fords, the RS Cossie looks very boy racerish to me, that big rear fin just looks shite, and i dont like scooby's, mitsibushi, etc again they looks awful, sorry

Gav
27-12-2005, 22:10
thing is a scoobie and a evo now looks like a everyday car, noone really looks at them for what they are, how they were looked at when they 1st came out, cuz every manracer has one

a cossie...different, not very often u see one of them

I reckon I'd go for evo3, evo6 and 22b in that order....best all round for track/quarter mile/road use IMO. m3 is bit heavy and cossie is ok but not my cup of tea.

richy
27-12-2005, 22:19
i do like them all, think if i had cash id chose the bmw m3 evo over the rest, then proberly the FRS , the scoobys(to commen) evo's getting that way now, cossie is nice but stands out like a sore thumb!

:D Tommy Mak all the way!!!!!You will own every fu$*er on the road !!
Cossies too old been in a couple good but NOT as good as evo or the scoobys!!
Plus just think of the mental power you can get out of the evo!!
Just to add another to the mix wot about the ultimate........The SKYLINE!!!GTR that is!!

Escort cosworth = A Mint looking external one looks stunning and its a true calssic like the Williams never mind if its a Sahphire etc underneith and the scoobie is quicker when people see one next to never mind what modern evo oe scoobie they will look at a Cossie IMO. Its not the best or quickest though depends what you want.
Bmw M3 EVO (e36) = Superb cars, I hate 99% of BMW drivers so I'll say no more though.
Mitsubishi evo 6 TME or RS = Ever though about running one if so you'll have deep pockets or a true love plus if you want to do milage they costa furtune. 60 miles to there tiny tanks massive HP potential but budget deep to run.
Mitsubishi 2 or 3 Same as above not quite as bad but still.
Ford focus RS = Stunning. Its a classic like the cossie I think. Might be a pain driving one hard the turbos have no spare so you have to go aftermarket.
Impreza wrx/sti/22b etc (??) = Bit boring and regular but thats not always a negative, there regular as there so good.

Depends what you want though the RS is the one on that list personally for me but I wouldn't I'd look at the new ST its quicker will be more popular and common (so cheaper to run) plus you can have 3 yrs of warently.
There are other cars though what about a TVR or a Boxter (superb car) or a ITR.
If it were my money and I did less miles I'd get the new ITR. If not its a 182 and modify it.

M3 Evo. Sensible choice for an old-ish boy racer. Quite fast, a bit posh, comfortable daily car and decent resale value. Otherwise the Mit EVO TME would be my choice; if sensibility was drop-kicked out the window.

Escort Cossie - Looks superb, still holds its value, awsome swollen arches, fast and can be made faster!

EVO Tommi Mak - Another superb looking car, stands out from the rest, fast and different.

P1/22B - Swolen arches, different, but most people who aren't clued up on cars wont know the difference between the P1 and the 2.0ltr non turbo, however we will know!

In that order!

Is this a potential Williams replacement that will be track'd Richy?

Escort cosworth - Standard, not as fast point-to-point as the ultimate Scoobs and Evos, and starting to show its age, but can be made to go mentally fast in a straight line.

Bmw M3 EVO (e36) - Sound lovely, look classy, fast, and fun RWD chassis. But they're heavy and are more a refined cruisers than hardcore track machine.

Mitsubishi evo 6 TME or RS - Mega expensive to run, but hugely fast point-to-point road cars.

Mitsubishi 2 or 3 - Really don't look that great IMO! And you'd have to spend a lot on them to make them go as fast as the newer ones.

Ford focus RS - Great handling track car, and new, so probably problem free and cheapish to run.

Impreza wrx/sti/22b etc - Definately a P1. Designed for UK roads by the people who build the rally cars. Awesome cars. 3 door, so IMO look better than Evos.

My choice, as a second car, used on track....

Focus RS
Impreza P1
Evo TME
M3 Evo
Escort Cossie
Evo III

There was a Pro Drive Grp A rally Impreza for £13995 at the Christmas Stages rally at Croft yesterday, which could be used on the road and would be ace on a track. Cost £60k+ when it was built.

Cossies can me made silly fast in a straight line, but they'll never match an Impreza or Evo round corners due to the mechanical diffs.

See ya

Definately escort cossy. Have been in love with them since i was 5, Will have on one day. No way a boy racers car I hate it when people say that... Dont think a boy racer would be able to afford a 10k classic. As for the "that big rear fin " Thats how ford designed it ant thats how it came out the factory so it cant be bad. If a boy racer bought a 1.3 k reg escort and stuck one on thats what funks me off...

Rant over!

Your all gays for not wanting one of these. A true rally car on the road. Right down to the hand crafted aluminium arches!

The cosworth, because its fast, and dont cos tthe earth to fix or get 400bhp reliably from. Bmw M3 because its RWD, build very well and will happy sit at 150 all day long without the turbo blowing up. Evo, because its rare, and dam quick, and IMO best jap machine available.

Id not have a scooby....they are common as dog shite, owned by chavs and have no value whasoever.

FRS doesnt have loads of electric mumbo jumbo, all the traction is mechanical diff.

Ford focus RS - I own one
Mitsubishi evo 6 TME or RS - The TME just excites me!
Escort cosworth - Amazing classic but just that now a clasic. not enough originals around either
Bmw M3 EVO (e36) - great car great power for good money, just dont get me excited

Mitsubishi 2 or 3

Impreza wrx/sti/22b etc

Last 2 dont really get me goin, as good a cars as thy are from the list they are the two id least like.
if i was to swap my car now it would prob be for a R32
