wohoo! finally got a williams engine and gearbox fitted to my valver! so much better now. right question to all hybrid owners who are you all insured with cus my insurance company (elephant) wernt interested?

Elephant said they won't insure engine upgrades, i;ll try greenlight, i think i tried them before and the only reason i didnt go with them was they wouldnt protect my no claims untill i was 25.. but i am now so all should be ok!

ermm i'll have to see, when the wheel bearing collapsed it has scored my brand new tarox brake disc and it shakes under braking so gotta get that and a few other things sorted first.

insure it as a valver... not like they would ever take the head of and measure the bore and pistons. thought the idea of a hybrid was Willy power without the insurance costs? lol

when i got a quote on a hybrid no one would touch me. when i said it was a williams engine, some insurance co's told me i needed to have the vehicle retested, others said they didnt insure engine swaps. i tried quite a few co's, so im quite shocked so many ppl can get the insurance on a hybrid so easily. prehpas im tooooo much of a liability

i am insured with highway through adrian flux :shock:

dont tell em the engines are identical and the i.d plate is riveted on to the block jus swap em
both my 2.0 valvers were insured as standard engined valvers
i mus admit my clio turbo is insured as a standard valver lol

heh think i'll change the insurance over when i can, i actually did a mock quote and a williams is the same at 25 as a valver is at 24 so i an hoping i wont get stung too much!
