my m8s been told that he cannot do an engine flush on his valver as it may damage it??????

how true is this?

It's not recommended as they have hydraulic tappets.
Would rather just do a quick oil change using cheap oil.

Agreed. Use fully synthetic as they dig out the muck better than mineral. Then drive it like a nutter for a few days and change it.

Used Forte engine flush the last few times and never had a problem.

They can cause problems if there are small holes in gaskets etc that have become sealed up with shit over the years, a flush removes all this shit, can can lead to leaks etc....think thats what hes refering to
