What do you do if you have a blow out or a proper rip shredder?!

I know tyre welds good for minor damage but what do you do if you rip the tyre off lol!

seems like a lot of hassle for a bit of weight saving!

Do the aa/rac not go ballistic? no ear ache for not having a spare bla bla bla?

No Daz0rs they don't. A lot of new cars don't run with spare wheels these days anyway, so it ain't uncommon.

As summeh said, a lot of new cars dont even come with a spare these days.
Cars used to have spares as the tyres were far from the quality of the ones we have these days and punctures/leaky valves etc were common.

These days you're probably more likely to suffer from battery failure than a puncture (i remember reading that somewhere recently)...... and how many people carry a spare battery!

I leave my spare in the rack where it should be :P Tbh though, the tools in a clio for changing a wheel are shite. The breaker bar to undo the wheel nuts doesnt have enough leverage on it and the jack couldt jack up shite so if you get a puncture then ya fooked anyway lol

Agreed! Think of all the weight saving not carrying a spare wheel, cage etc etc! 8)

My friend who has a saxo, was telling me that his spare wheel fell off and hit the car which was following behind too closely, it took there sump out.
Turned out the bolt had just sheared.
So another good reason not to run a spare

Running with less weight = better MPG!! Reason number 4,000,789 to go without a spare wheel.
