How much is a set of main bearings for a 1.8 16v? Ive just picked up a 19 16v motor and box and i'm gonna give it a quick freshen up (new bearings, gaskets, cam belt etc) ready for selling as the motor in there has been feeling pretty tired alately.

See ya

Matt

big ends

7 11 130 062 BEARING F40 24.62 ---3 x 1

main bearings

77 01 473 556 BEARING 41.35 ---3 x 1

hardly stupid expensive are they!

BBPT charge £41.13 inc VAT for the mains and £29.38 inc VAT for the big ends then 15 quid min postage.

You might get em cheaper from a factors.

Sorry Christopher, but still when you multiply £41.35+vat by how ever many you have, 8? 4 top and 4 bottem, it adds up

funny that, i pay the price I quoted as does the mrs when she gets them for me. I must go give renault more money as they are driving themselves into poverty eh!

where did I quote the price per bearing?

I quoted the big end set of bearings then the main bearing set prices from renault.

You cannot buy a singular big end or main bearing only the full set of 8 in each case.

How am I being argumentative? I am meant to stop, say i'm wrong when i'm right?

Right errr........excellent.

I can rebuild it myself so I think spending £120 on bits isn't too bad. At least it means its right for whoever buys it, dont wanna rip people off lol.

See ya
