What size is 1/8NPT [Archive]

Brought a sandwich plate for oil temp/pressure senders, and the bloke assurs me that they are 1/8NPT thread, but they look closer to 3/8" accross :?

most senders are 1/8npt taper, although they dont actually measure 1/8th in dia.

Been looking at electrical senders rather then mechanical, and they are quoted as like M8, M10, M12 and 3/8"....recon i need some converters

1/8 npt is a tapered thread with 27 threads per inch. Any help???

Yeah cheers....the tread isn't tapered, so i guess its guess work finding out what size it is
