Ultimate is well expensive. Tesco is not available in the north yet, so Optimax for me at 92p/L.

Shame they didn't test any supermarket 97RON stuff.

they did test supermarket stuff... but they are often supplied by one of the major suppliers.. and they chop and change all the time.

when i had the scooby, they did some tests on scoobynet and ultimate caused the most detting over optimax! they said it detted more top end that normal 95 ron which aint good! lol

ive heard of numerous problems people have with Ultimate

valver runs sweet on Optimax plus i get some free petrol every so often with my points card !

Funilly enough my GT Turbo used to love supposedly 95ron texaco fuel more than any super unleaded fuel, it was running 20 PSI boost as well so you could always hear it pinking with crap fuel.

my old RT ran like a bag of shit on Texaco fuel once, never again

Yeah, it's strange but the energy engine does run like crap on certain fuels. We ran my girlfriends on optimax up to the lakes and it was almost going backwards down the hills, yet we filled up with BP ultimate in windermere and it was a different animal.
