View Full Version : Just picked up the Scorpion
Well just went and picked up the Scorpion exhaust, but the thing is well much bigger then i was expecting !
Bloody massive it is lol anyways will get some pics up as i dunno if its the right type the guy said he thinks it came off a 16v :S
when i picked it up the workshop had a r34 wrapped up sitting on ramps !
whole thing was totaly wrapped in layers of plastic, was wondering if they were shipping it somewhere :S
they seemed to have loads of cars there in some dodgy back street place :S

look about the same size as my magnex fella. Looks good
im just compairing it to my peco which was a stright through and also my standard one, its massive in comparision :)
i got it cause i heard they are quiet, and the peco is like having lion sitting in the boot :S
doesn'tlook quiet to me!
Mine ain't quiet, but then i ahve a straight through centre section.
And Chris' (Willy55's) certainly ain't quiet with a Lunner own brand de-cat fitted
I've got one on the car it didn't seem that bad when I started it but then again we were testing for leaks.
You'll have find fitting it though as the hanger isn't the right sizes. My advice is to get one of those exhaust clamps and weld a bolt to the end of one of them and use that as a hanger as i had done.
I spend 2 days trying to get it on the car and to fit its a right pain.
ta for the advice, it looks like one of the hangers has broken off in the middle too :(
and Lunner i have one of your decat too, summy got it for my bday, so it might be bloody loud if there are no baffles lol
mine sounds raspy, and is very loud! with a lunner decat!
i like it 8)
get it polished up before you fit it mate !
my thoughts exactly northy ;)
nothing like some nice autosolv to brighten it up a bit :)
Also my Lunner decat in the pic too so manifold back should be 3.5" now :)

Mate no offence but that exhaust looks fooked.polish or no polish. How long do you think it will last?
will last better then my standard one, which is rotting away atm and was only 25 quid so it is good for the cash and is no problems in the welds cant see any carbon around them so i recon it should last for a while assuming i dont hit any speed bumps
fab, where does it look ****ed?
btw allan, thats the same as mine, 3.5" exit... except mine is gold :o
take a look at the first picture and the center section.even judging by his description the lot smells dodgy.Been tested for leaks yet?
You know all said and done and ive been repairing/driving old cars for almost three years now visiting breakers the lot.you get what you pay for.and that looks hassle to me.
why whats up with it ? only see one missing hanger on it, thats about all i could see wrong no obvious carbon deposits anywhere
looks fine apart from the missing centre section hanger.
looks fine to me mate....youve got a nice shiney one there pal.
O bolux ive been lukin at the before pictures
still lokks dodgy :P
listen mate prove me wrong and i'll be happy for you.
in fact go back there and see if he has another cause i need one myself.
****in ell mate scrubbed up well! i doubt it will be quiet tho!!!!
lol i wont be going back there any time soon, the place looked uber dodgy lol :)
it looked a chop shop big style lol
somthing right out of gone in 60 seconds :P
Its goign to be under your car...the only person that is ever gonna see it is gonna be your mechanic....why polish it lol

because it looks good
because i can lol, only took about 10 mins :P
i didnt actualy polish it, i just washed off the dirt and whacked on the cutting compound and it came up nice and shiney
i was only gona do the tip but then it looked so nice i just kinda carried on lol
It'll be really quiet. It still has silencers!
I miss mine
i'm not kidding you i was lukin at the post originally and then when you put the "after" photos up I thought it was a different exhaust than the original photo.
came up real nice.hope it goes well.
lol oh well ;)
i hope it works too, i know other people have problems with knocking when they fit them :S
so i will have to spend ages trying to make sure it all lines up nicely and doesnt knock
Although it actualy does have a blow in the exhaust but thats from the decat, but thats been like that since i got it :S but only used it for about 100 miles or so, you can see the gum gum on the out side of the weld where i patched it up :) (flange on the right)

They knock on teh rear beam, i ahd a custom centre section and told them to make sure it didn't knock, as a result my tail pipe sticks out a pretty long way....but no rattles :)
will have to get some bungie cords and play about lol
ive got a scorpion and it looks like mine
they dont have a hanger for the centre section
ah, well it has a weld mark as if it shoudl have one lol :S
maybe someone welded and extra one on at some point
