I'm using Firefox and mines ok, it might be a slow network connection where you work.
Mine's not slow, but the fan has a continual fit with the snow.

Works fine for me too (Win2k). I think a little animation like this shouldn't bother anything quicker than a Pentium2. Check your computer for spywares/trojans and clean up the registries.
its ok at home actually ....and i have dial up there!
ur just bein short changed with waz pc's in work!!get em sorted on company expense account.....
yes boss that was the reason i got a new pc ' to access vital automotive research archives'
:P
i am on 2mb adsl...
it is slowing my page down loads...

Think it's more likely a PC rather than connection speed issue.
The snow applet should downloaded when the first wiliamsclio page is viewed (or even cached from earlier viewing). But once it's downloaded, it's up to the PC to "render" the snow on-screen. I suspect something's not quite right in the PC itself, if the snow is slowing it down.
If the applet uses Java; try downloading the latest build from Sun and/or some PC housekeeping might be needed. Where's Northy? He should be advising us what's up with this snow problem.
My Spectrum Zx80 eats this snow for breakfast!
this post still goin?!
by the time u all stopped winging x-mas will be over and no more snow! :D
Northy could tweek it but he probably will make us suffer till christmas is over.

thats with all them programs running and williamsclio on the screen
stop winging and get a faster computer :D
Oi, you leave my computer alone and go and get a proper coloured Clio :P :D
With Explorer opened on Williamsclio, and the page down the bottom away from the snow, the CPU useage is 1 or 2%. As soon as I go back up to the top of the page, it shots up to 25% :x
stop winging and get a faster computer :D
That's two 2600+ processors! :P. So, luckily, 50% doesn't slow my PC at all. But on a slower machine, I would gnashing my teeth. My win2K OS setup is very clean; so I am guessing it's a combination of firefox and some java type process hogging the CPUs.
PS: The higher CPU loading is when the page is scrolled to the top with the Williamsclio banner with xmas lights. The CPU loading drops off, when I scroll down, away from the banner.

lmao! *speechless* :D
Lol, i'll loose the snow now guys.
Glad youve all enjoyed it !
