Electrical/Mechanical Gauges

Obvously a mechanical gauge will give a reading all the time, but is harder to connect up as you need a capilary.

Are there any other advantages/disadvantages of mechanical or electrical gauges

electrical assuming the wiring and sender are decent is normally better and more accurate, capilary needs mechanical movement of the needle.

Also a burst capilary gauge isn;t fnny, 100 degree oil sprayed in your face is not nice!
