All the modern saloons don't have em, my mums passat doesn't for example...

i do :lol: . i dont think theres many old or new saloons with them to be honest mate, if you look around you only get them on hatches or estates :)

if u stick a wiper motor in the boot of a saloon which is only place it cud go as the glass stays put when u open it u'll knock it off first time u put anything in the boot!! thats my guess neway!

But I'd find it very annoying not having a rear wiper. Particularly in this weather. And I want as much chance to spot coppers in the mirror as possible :(

The reason hatches and estates have them and saloons don't is because of the shape of the body. Saloons don't generally pick up a lot of spray and shit on the glass because of the rake of the glass and the fact that it's further away from the rear most of the car. An estate/hatch is almost at a right angle and right at the back of the car. That's my guess anyway :P

fully smoothed! Its the way forward. Mine is debadged, but not smoothed wiper or lock. Its handy havving the wiper in this weather, and its a little reasuring having one lock on the car incase the plip ****s up! LOL

Keep it!! For reasons already stated, I want to know whos behind me, and a blured image is not what i want!! Could be the fuzz and that wouldnt be good, cos i dont stick to any speed limit. Unless im in traffic.

i can't see further than 3 meters out the back of my valver anyway TBH, its so low and the angle of the roof means it blocks my view where its sweeps down!! wing mirrors work good enuf n besides looks shithot smoothed! love it!
