whenever i take the battery off my car to work on it, once i put it back on and go for a drive the car always feels faster, its a lot more responsive

after a days worth of driving though it goes back to normal, which, is fine, but id prefer it to be as responsive as it is when the battery has been off

why could this be ?

it is chipped would that have anything to do with it ?

doesnt the ECU kinda like learn itself how to run more economical? perhaps when you remove the battery it forgets how to run more economical? then it kinda learns or something like that?

resetting the ecu makes it run at base factory settings, which are the peak of everything.

When anomilies are found during running then things adjust and normally if response is lost then somehtigns iffy somewhere.

All very exciting especially live testign with a scope to find that at a certain time the cts/lambda/whatever will give a dodgy output after 4 hours running which is what the problem is!

well the CTS and Lambda are both new, though i havent reset it since i had the new lambda put on.......

Martin, has yours been ok since or did it go back slower again ?

i wish Nick Hill was closer as he's got the XR25 thing on a laptop

Ask Gaz fella.....when i had it if I left it for longer than 2-3weeks it would become noticeably slower....not sure whether Gaz is still having the same problem.

thats what mines like

but, ive had a new lambda put on now so maybe it had a problem before and doesnt now, but needs a reset to relearn properly

i hope thats the case because its a totally different car and i want it that quick all the time
