Mine was easy to fit.....getting the old one of was a bit of a slag.

Ramps help alot, mine used to clunk on the rear axel....but had play with it on some ramps and sorted it.

I hate exhaust fitting btw.....normally leave it to the greese monkeys...but if I have ramps I can use, i will do it myself....working on the floor sucks!!!!

i dont even think its loud at all no difference from standard really....quick question on the mid box does your bracket for the hanger point straight up ?mine does how the hell can i put a rubber hanger on that?is yours quiet as well?

Winston
12-03-2005, 19:50
Yes its very quiet, even with a decat.

My hangers are different because mine is a 16v (well was). iirc willy ones hang a bit different.

How to get it on the hanger - by skinning your nuckles

any1 else got a scorpion exhaust?

Winston

Went on OK-ish....used to clunk abit (not all the time tho), but after playing, twisting and genral ****ing about with it. it no longer clunks.

S/S exhausts do tend to be a bitch to fit and get a perfect fit.

if i take it 2 an exhaust place do u reckon they would beable to bend it for me ?i also noticed that the mid section is heavier the oe and hangs quite a bit lower

maybe i should have just left it as mr renault intended.

Winston

lol.......thats stromba talk

An exhaust place should be able to sort it.....go to some where like a powerflow dealer...not kwik fit or ATS, they don't have a clue, they will just rip you off imo.

scotte666

few exhaust tips to reduce rattle..
using a old bike inner tube rubber...
cut it to size and wrap it around the hangin mounts (car ones), place a small tie wrap to secure it on... also you can always use adhesive to secure it on.
to get a gud position for your zorst you can use wire or a large thick tie wrap arount the exhaust hanger(on the exhaust) an suitable wrap it round somewhere nearby/under the chassis to get desired hang.

they hang isnt reall the prob its the fact its not sitting in the place it should 2 far over on o/s not even in the exhaust tunnel bit ......im in tears why did i ever start it :(

VIPERONE
12-03-2005, 21:35
yeah easy, just use thick tie wraps on the exhaust mounting(on the exhaust, and tie it to the side that can be pulled to correct the fitment problem... you exhaust will be bloody solid and wont move :-)

scotte666
12-03-2005, 21:45
eh what the hells a tie wrap ?this ur bike tyre thingy?

scotte666
12-03-2005, 21:50
cant pull it 2 a hanger cos all the hangers r on the nearside and id need to pull the exhaust to the offside, i think it needs bending but is it normal to buy a s/s exhaust and still have to have it bent to get it 2 fit especially when its s/h and comes off a williams 3

VIPERONE
12-03-2005, 21:53
