id prob get a million minors lol or the examiner would tell me to stop the car at the first bit of roundabout lol.
What road marking did you fail to "acknwledge" then? must have been important to fail u on it espec wi only 1 minor

Im not entirely sure to be honest mate... i need to go back out there n check! :?

All i remember is that i turned into a two lane one-way street but there was a central traffic cone thing so coming from the right u turned into the road b4 it and vise-versa the other way... and as i didnt know if we were going left or right etc i just stayed in that lane till told otherwise; im getting the feeling hes failed me for staying in the right hand lane!

Hmmmmmmmmm... :?

Plattsy
02-12-2005, 18:51
quite possibly the reason since i think your always meant to stay on the left unless overtaking...on a dual carriageway youd get into bother for sitting in the right lane wouldnt you...

BigBoreBri
02-12-2005, 18:54
Yeah... but i was to turn right - then im in the correct lane...

Very strange, like i say i need to go check it out cos he took me to some cod-head town i never ever drive in!

Plattsy

lol not being used to the road isnt an excuse, you should always be on the left hand side unless instructed to go right, you should always act as if going straight on, same applies for roundabouts.

BigBoreBri
02-12-2005, 19:04
Not an excuse it was just a bit misleading... their was no straight on just left or right, hence why i waited for his instruction before moving lane... Still ill know better next time... and another £150 out of pocket!

Plattsy
02-12-2005, 19:06
well if it isnt straight then the left is classed as bearing to the left instead of actually turning. if it was a junction youd have to stop and wait but you would have had instruction where to turn before hand if that was the case,
How come its £150?

BigBoreBri
02-12-2005, 19:09
Its an extended test, hence rip-off prices

Got a mate in a similar situation, might loose his lisence, Were you drinking? Did anyone else get hurt? How long were you banned for etc.

PM me if you don't wanna post it publically, really need this info mate

DD = Dangerous Driving??? strange, i thought it was the code for qualifying

BigBoreBri

Turns out it wasn't what i thought... went back out there to see what i did wrong and the road before i turned right (about 150yds long) was a one-way road! Even my mate i had drive down there did same as me, no road signs just a give-way line that stretches the whole road at the very end... sneeky but ill know better 4 next time!
