Hello, as i want to lower my car 60mm i dont fancy just doing that on springs, so im gonna get some new shocks, What are apex ones like as i always thought they were good and that 210 quid for the front and back and springs is cheap, Letme know what you guys think, thanks

Good mate, i had the Apex shocks and springs 50mm lowering kit, handles well and is more comfortable than coilovers, however the rear dampers only lasted 2 year and supposidly thats about the amount of time they last!

So had to replace them last month!

Bit expensive IMO.

You have a 1.4 RT don't you?

I'd personally just buy the 60mm springs and shortened shocks as thats really all you'll need...the std rear items will cope fine....will also save you about 70quid.

Alternatively, get some secondhand 16v shocks and lowering springs (and hub carriers if you're not running 54mm spacing)...-35mm on a 16v = -55mm on a non 16v. You'll be able to pick all that up for under 50quid so saving 170quid over the apex...will be just as good too.
