I have sent off my cd player as it has become jumpy, and according to the people who have it, they say that it is not suposed to work at a angle more than 30Deg

So what is the angle that the headunit sits in when in the car?

Thanks.

Umm so they may have a valid point then :(

How would a headunit be fine for 11months in a clio but then not like that angle though? surely the angle isnt at fault

mine did the same in my old 1.4, it just puts excess strain on the floating drive mechanism in the player. pain in th earse but nowt u can do really!!damn renault designers!best bet is to get an mp3 capable head unit, cuz mp3 tracks are like only 4mb big reads em quick so hasnt got time to jump!!! or buy an mp3 player n plug it thru ur stereo! much better!!

Thing is its a alpine 9812Rb Headunit which is Mp3 so i wouldnt of thought it would of had any problems. especially when you think how much it cost.

Well the people i have bought it off, i have sent them it back, and they say there is nothing wrong with it when they tested it. Yet i can hear it hitting the cd and jumping all the time.
They are saying headunits are not suposed to be operated past 30deg so dunno what i can say to get around that one. as the angle on the clio is alot.

when u bought the CD player did u ask 4 a cd player 2 fit a clio? if so and it works at only a max of 30deg then whoever sold it u is at fault as they gave u the wrong head unit!

Swap the header controls and headunit round. Quite a few GTT owners have done this and theres sure to be a guide in some form...clio will be identical.

Or just buy another headunit and save the hassle...
