£400 ....... What a rip off !!!! i paid £280 for 1 when i had my honda civic and they dont actually cost that much to make .
aye theres no chance i'd pay 400 for a bonnet
But still I think I have found my new bonnet :D
Carbon all the way
i'm sure winston knows this but how heavy is the standard bonnet?
Carbon is like adding jewelery to your car,its priceless.
Just a shame you cant use your standard vent but I guess that weighs to much :D

the fiberglass 1 is just a effective
fibreglass will do the job lighter too...I'm not fussed abou the looks really if the carbon was 50 quid more a might go for it but 200 lol no chance
Just a shame you cant use your standard vent but I guess that weighs to much :D
The bonnet is a direct replacement to you can just swap the vent from your existing bonnet...probably have to ditch the raincatcher though.
The FibreGlass one you have to paint,yes/no?
The carbonfibre one has the look,yes/no?
But the fibreglass one requires bonnet pins which isnt very secure if your car is left out on the steet and some one wants a laugh
true but if you have an alarm it's not too much of a problem
Carbon does look the danglies though and with my wheels and seats would look good....I really can't afford it ...
U should have alarm sensors under the bonnet, as soon as it's lifted alarm will go off.
Truthfully speaking if i had one of them on the car i'd be sleeping in it.
Your right though Martin carbonfibre gear is mad money.
I will dream on for now
might have to purchase a fibreglass one me thinks! as people say if you have an alarm the bonnet pin problem shouldnt be one! also as people have said many times noww you can get locking bonnet pins!
any one got a link to locking bonnet pins :)
about time k-tec did some of these bad boys!
fibreglass one seems good, and the carbon one is a ripp off IMO!
Would the normal rain catcher fit into where the mesh bit is? :?
Seems a bit pointless buyin a good bonnet like that and have wet HT leads all the time! Bit dissapointed that k-tec didnt include a fabricated fibreglass raincatcher with it. Suppose its all down to weight!
Defo something to add to the "to buy" list!
8)
iv not got a rain catcher, and have fiesta leads which dont block the plug holes like normal 16v/willy plugs to, and iv not had a problem at all with regards to any rain getting in!
only thing that gets a tad wet is the exhaust manifold!
its been stood and driven in heavy rain wtih no probs :)
why you running fiesta leads fella?
ahh! well then!
yeah why fiesta leads? i gather summat to do with t/b's? :?

i'd defo pay £410 for that carbon one. wood look good agaisnt the naples
Yeah but £411 for the k-tec or £325 for an autocrosse one
i want the carbon one, but i am unsure about the mesh instead of a proper vent insert, does anyone know whether we can still use the original insert ?
Yeah but £411 for the k-tec or £325 for an autocrosse one
according to the guys at team think, the k-tec bonnet is in fact the autocrosse bonnet, so save yourselves some pennies lads!
LMFAO....only k-tec could take something that retails out at £325 and then add £85 onto it and sell it
do autocrosse have a website ?
Not sure, they are in reading, there is a thread running on cliosport with the phone number
