**idle voltage**

can anyone else verify the idle voltage of their williams/16v...and what it increases to when revved up. this will determin whether i change my alternator this weekend :-|

Me thinks my battery is about 11.9VDC and on idle 13.1VDC; your really looking for a voltage increase of about 1 volt. And this should only fluctuate with a higher load (e.g. lights/stereo) not higher RPM's.

my alternator is definitely playing up, when i load the battery the alternator does not adjust the voltage accordingly, ie no/low charge!....when there is no load ie no lights, heaters etc it charges up ok..

so it indictates a regulator fault.... i'll get a spare, and f still isnt working appropriately i'll be changing the ****er
