16v/Willy on Top Gear? [Archive]

Anyone know if they were ever tested/featured on the old Top Gear?

Ive always wondered thats too. Never seen a decent 16v review and what they thought of it :evil:

The willy was reviewed by Clarkson on Top Gear in early '94 I believe. I still remeber most of it now, he raved about it (understandably). Only 2 litre hot hatch around a the time. At one point he put it on the run way, and the speedo read an indicated 140! I havnt seen it since though, wonder if they'll ever put it on a classic Top Gear dvd...

Some old episodes are becoming available on torrent sites, which is why I ask. I think that test was Feb '94, but I tihnk only up to 91 is available so far.

not seen one for top gear but ive just won a video on ebay for a quid thats got a williams 3 review on it among other decent cars of that year.

They had a williams v's mini cooper test in one of the very early (issue 6 or 7 i think) top gear magazines.

i've got an oldish evo mag n all with classic hot hatches versus newer ones, came out when newer 172 came out. got willy 3 mk1 golf gti 205 1.9 gti n all that lot in it! quality article cuz willy pisses everything!haha! :P
