View Full Version : front camber
lowered na williams with avo struts and 35mm lowereing springs off a clio 16v and the front wheels have a very large camber in... was wondering if the clio 16v struts are different from the williams or if i need to get camber adjusting bolts for the shocks???
shocks dont fit due to the wider front track of a williams so yes your camber will be screwed beyond belief! best sell up and get the correct ones for the car IMO, herad a couple of horror stories with camber bolts
what shocks work best on the williams
not in a place to say myself but richy has had coilovers and original dampers with uprated springs (200lb i think) and he ****ed the coilovers off as they original dampers and uprated springs work better for him and his is a road going track slag so it gets driven propely!
will try that first as the originals look ok thanks..... any other suggestions to what works best is welcomed

you can adjust camber :-) however its a bodge.. drill a groove out in your ball joints so that you can slide the ball joint in and out.. tighten on prefered camber.
Sounds like a plan to me gunner, for the record i guess you mean the lower ball joint to wishbone bolts

yes, the part that bolts on to the wishbones and then in to hub carrier.. it does work, i found out by error, i used the wrong diameter bolts(thinner allowing alight movement.... another way of doing it.
Much cheaper, and by the sounds of it stronger and better than camber correcting bolts
cheers for the suggestions but i decided to buy the proper shocks for it so i have 2 new avo adjustable shocks coming my way so if any one wants some 16v ones give me a shout
