With the long and cold winter months drawing in now, I am interested to see how many williams have heating that actually works!?! This time last year i was driving to work with a ski suit on and a thermos of hot water next to me to keep the cabin warm :lol:
Now with the rex ofcourse its all changed, I wear shorts and a t-shirt to work 8)
I'll tell you why I am interested after a few replies ......

my heatins quality! after about 5 mins of drivin they really kick in and i have 2 drive 2 work naked as its 2 hot 2 even wear anytin! :P

It didn't last year. But then it had no fecking thermostat in it! :evil:
I shall soon find out whether having one makes a difference.
I am hoping and praying that the fooking thing is gonna start never mind keep me warm.
At temps of about -30, even the Renault supplied coolant only goes down to -21, so I am pushing it a bit. Just hope everything works....soon find out!!!
If not then a little 12V heater is gonna be plumbed in to keep coolant and oil nice and warm overnight.

lol checked that, nah, all knobs are turned full lock to right side
:evil: there's no heating in 0062 at the moment...
Mike - could it be just a thermostat? I was thinking blocked heater matrix?

What kind of a bloke would sell you a car with no heating?? :P
Well at least 0062 is not the only one ....
think the heating is the only thing not to fail on mine so far...
Warm as toast!.....air conditioning is what I miss 8)
my heatings ok! but the blower doesnt work! on any number 1,2 and 3! it just doesnt blow???? get the warm air flow when the car is moving but thats it! any suggestions?

happened on my rt ^^ put a new blower unit in under scuttle panel and was good :D
how???? and how much? how easy is it to do?

its a peice of piss to do. dunno how much as i robbed the one from my Rn before i scrapped it. good hours work i'd say
could you do a bit of a guide mate? am crap when it comes to cars! but on the other hand,put a broken down boiler in front of me and then ya talking :D

remove wipers
remove scuttle panel - just a few screws
remove wiper mech and motor - bout 4-5 bolts iirc
unplug blower motor and plug in new one and test to make sure new one works :wink: ,
drain washer bottle, unbolt and remove it,
slide blower motor along and remove shielding around motor, (may need to remove sheilding before slididn along but cant remember)
take th blower out through the spce where washer bottle was, very tight IIRC
reverse to above procedure to replace motor

Mine keep me realy warm. Better than he diesel actually.

mine doesnt get that hot, its got a low temp thermostat in though which im hopefully going to change for a normal one

so what do you think is up with mine? as even when car is fully heated up its still blowing only luke warm air
fatboy ahve u checked the actual control switch on the panel isnt burnt out, mine did and i lost all 3 speeds, now have a new panel in and got nice hot air, just my daily drive 19 the heater dont work lol
Could that be the problem in mine then??
Fan works fine - but the heating is fooked :(

Blockage in Heater matrix or pipe leading to it.
