Can't wait to get this back and get it fitted! Very excited! :D Hopefully be sorted this weekend... woo...

Thanks guys.

Summy did send it over for a simple rebuild..........initially.

He was having a horrible time with his engine not running and having some of the most horrible compression figures i've ever heard (i think 50psi was his highest?). Anyway, head arrived, seats are minced and a leak test basically showed zero seal on the valve seats.

I felt bad at the amount of effort and poor luck he was having so threw in a free bowl port job, which basically means reworking the area behind the guide, this provides 90% of the flow gain along with the valve seat job. And he though since were doing it all, throw in some 33mm inlets as it was only the price of the valves and i said i would sort out the rest. So some 3 angles on the exhaust and custom single angle (hand blended port side, typical to my high end heads) custom jobs on the inlets to get the 33mm fitting and flowing.

All in all its tidy now, clean, face surface ground (i dont skim, all precision faces in engineering are ground), rebuilt and ready to ship.

Man he suckered me.........i think he found my sweet spot.

Dont know how the engine suddenly went bad - a few months earlier at haynes it was right on the pace.

zero gain, zero point.

And the emphasis on bowl port is the bowl.
