de cat, panel filter, full exhaust, chip. anything else above this will cost £££ and apparently isnt worth the outlay on the 1.8. ie, cams, headwork etc u dont see the gains that u do with the 2.0 and isnt worth the cash.

yeh best thing you could do is drop a megane block in there. can get um for about 500quid i think ?

summeh

failing that (cuz your a youngen)...

supersprint manifold (300quid) - ktec
decat (40quid) - ktec
supersprint straight thru centre section (90quid) - motorsportworld
rear exhaust: magnex (deeper sounding), scorpian (racey raspy sounding)
ITG panel filter (20quid) - motorsportworld

best and cheapest thing you can do is strip the car a bit:
get rid of the jack, spare wheel, wheel brace and cage
replace with a couple cans of tyre weld
get rid of the boot carpet

I'm gutted Summeh, i do better de-0cats than k-tec and they are £35 delivered, £30 collected.

Just give me a week or so to get them in, had to get the company to re-do the flanges cus they weren't up to my exacting standards :D

service or replace:

plugs
dizzy cap and rotor arm
ht leads (kv80 or kv85)
fuel filter (10quid)
coil pack

BBPT www.bbperformancetuning.co.uk have a really good deal on at the moment for ignition components, think u get kv80 leads, plugs and dizzy/cap for about 60quid or summat.

While changing the above wont improve bhp, it will help to insure your engine is a better way to being healthy, less misfires etc.

And there's a supersprint manifold on ebay at the mo.

Also don't go on your Valver being 137bhp as that is a factory quoted figure, and all will not have that. Plus over time youwill lose power through worn components.

Best thing you can do is check and replace where necessary all service items especially electrical related like Dizzy, rotor, leads and plugs and all filters. Also use of additives will help restore injectors and unclog a lot of the build up you get over years of motoring.

Only then will you be able to improve upon what is standard in terms of power.

I reckon the majority of engines will still be putting out standard power. Only very ropey ones will be slower. :)

Depends entirely on what you use to measure it?
