Do you have to pay this fee yourself?.....Will this be payable by your insurance Company?

at the min i will pay myself.

but i need to see if any damage has been done inside (couldnt get in as i didnt want to ruin any evidence)

then if its X number of pounds i will make the choice - claim or no claim Nick

why are you paying??? it'll have been removed at police expense..

was the car impounded with your permission or was it just moved in there and you were informed after...if the latter is the case i'd tel them to piss off

northy

it was moved there without my knowledge.
police say they would pay the bulk - i would have to pay £45 of it

The officer i delt with isnt intoday so im going to pay myself and then claim later.

are you at work today gunner - is there something you can do for me ???

the guy at the garage say that the police would be wrong if they had said that to me

im not at work till 5pm... however the police are not wrong, the garage owner is. When the officers discovered your vehicle they will have had to radio the duty inspector to authorise authority for removal. If the vehicle has had the removal authorised by theinspector he will decide whether it is by police expense or owners.. as it was for a soco examiniation it will be by police expense, i wouldnt pay it'll be a rite tw@t recuperating it off the cops.... contact the officer in thecase or the duty inspector at your local station, if it were me i would go to the police front desk ask the make a complaint the inspector wil come down then, dont complain just ask his advice.. he will sort it out for you then..

it was for soco mate - but the thing is i was never informed my car had been found untill it was already at the garage - and hence had no knowldge of the costs.

im more pissed off with how the car was handled now at the compound mate - can u get in touch please.

Hoe come they never dusted for prints inside my car - only outside !!!

WTF is the point in dusting teh outside, its a car, anyone can walk past and touch it, its not illegial

fingerprints can only be had off clea shiney surfaces... the steering wheel should have been dusted at least.
insides would have been fibre lifted...

go to your local nick, and ask for the inspector to speak regarding the costs, he will sort it out for you.
